Our Story

A Ministry Born of Faith

In 2008, a small group of believers gathered at Nigeria House Junction, opposite Christ the King Catholic School on Allison Street, Old Road in Monrovia with a simple yet burning desire — to know Christ and to make Him known. What began as a humble Bible study and fellowship meeting in the heart of the city soon became the seed of a growing family of faith.

By God’s grace, that small fellowship blossomed into Restoration Baptist Ministries — a thriving Baptist congregation committed to sound doctrine, heartfelt worship, and the transformation of lives. Through seasons of challenge and blessing, the church has stood firm on the Word of God, witnessing countless individuals and families restored in Christ.

Today, RBM carries a bold vision for the city of Monrovia and the nation of Liberia. From Sunday worship and midweek Bible study to prayer meetings and community outreach, we remain devoted to proclaiming the Gospel, making disciples, strengthening families, and raising a generation that will carry the light of Christ to every corner of our nation.

“For who hath despised the day of small things?” — Zechariah 4:10
Our Purpose

Mission & Vision

Everything we do flows from the call of God on our lives — to love Him, follow His Word, and serve His people.

Our Mission

To proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, make disciples, strengthen families, and transform communities through biblical teaching and compassionate service.

Our Vision

To become a Christ-centered church where lives are restored, believers are equipped, and communities are transformed through the power of God’s Word.

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”

— Matthew 28:19

We exalt God in spirit and in truth through vibrant, reverent, and Christ-centered worship.

Prayer

We are a house of prayer, depending on God for everything through persistent intercession.

Evangelism

We are compelled to share the Gospel with every nation, tribe, and tongue.

Discipleship

We make mature disciples who make disciples, equipping believers for every good work.

Integrity

We walk in holiness, honesty, and accountability before God and one another.

Compassion

We demonstrate the love of Christ through mercy, generosity, and care for the hurting.

Service

We are servants first, using our gifts to build the church and bless the community.

Statement of Faith

Our Core Beliefs

As a Baptist congregation, we hold firmly to the historic doctrines of the Christian faith, grounded in Scripture alone.

RBM congregation worshiping together
  • Deity of Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man.

  • Salvation by Grace

Salvation is a free gift of God, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

  • Believer's Baptism

We practice baptism by immersion of believers as a public testimony of their faith.

  • The Lord's Supper

We observe communion as a continual memorial of Christ's death until He returns.

  • The Holy Spirit

The Spirit of God regenerates, indwells, empowers, and guides every believer.

  • The Inspired Word

The Bible is God-breathed, infallible, and the final authority for faith and life.

  • Resurrection & Eternal Life

Christ rose bodily from the grave, and believers hold the sure hope of eternal life.

  • The Second Coming

We eagerly await the personal, visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
